Notice 1:
A vacancy will exist on the Board of Commissioners of the Cedar Grove Utility District upon expiration of
the term of Commissioner McAlexander on January 1, 2024. The Board plans to certify a list of three
nominees to the Carroll County Mayor to fill this vacancy at its regular meeting at 1 p.m. on January 8 th ,
2024, to be held at the district’s office at 3100 Hwy 220, Lavinia, TN. A customer may submit a name for
consideration by the Board for the list of nominees. To be considered the name must be submitted to
the District’s General Manager no later than Friday, January 5 th . Qualifications established by the Board
for nominees are available upon request.
Notice 2:
The Cedar Grove Utility District board members have reviewed the rates and have decided to raise the rates by $1.02 per thousand gallons, the minimum bill will stay the same. The new rates will go in to effect on January 1, 2024 and are as follows. The first 600 gallons $25.95, the variable bill will increase to $9.00 per thousand gallons. Raising the rates will help offset the cost of the new water tank and water line.
*Monthly Board Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month at 1 pm in our office located at 3100 Hwy 220, Lavinia, TN.
The 2022 Cedar Grove Utility District Water Quality Report can be viewed by clicking the 2022 Consumer Confidence Report button at the top of the screen. We will mail a copy upon request.
FEES
Tap Fees 3/4" (standard) - $1,125.00 plus owner's deposit.
1" - $1,825.00 plus owners deposit.
*Anything larger than 1", customer must pay all cost of installation after CGUD approval of install.
Owner Deposit - $75.00,
Renter Deposit - $150.00.
Reconnection Fee - $50.00,
$100.00 (After hours reconnect)
Meter Install Fee @25.00
(If the meter is taken out due to nonpayment)
NSF Fee - $30.00 charge on all returned payments.
Lock Replacement Fee - $25.00
